Updated October 9, 2026Your workout data
HyTime stores workout history, splits, heart rate, energy, distance, notes and preferences locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Your paired devices exchange plans and results using Apple’s device connectivity services. No HyTime account is required. We do not operate a server that receives your workout history.
Apple Health
With your permission, HyTime reads workouts, heart rate, active energy and distance and saves completed workouts to Apple Health. New saved workouts include a plan and split snapshot for optional recovery. Raw heart rate samples are not placed in that snapshot; recovery reads available heart rate separately from Health. Apple controls any syncing of Health data through your Apple account. You can change permissions in Apple Health. Deleting a result in HyTime does not delete its workout in Apple Health.
Optional iCloud plans
If you enable iCloud plan sync, templates, favorites and planned exercise targets are stored in your private Apple CloudKit database. Recorded workout results, Health measurements, free-form step notes and builder drafts are excluded. Template names and custom exercise labels are included; avoid putting private health information in those fields. Turning sync off keeps existing local plans and the cloud copy. Manage iCloud app storage in iPhone Settings.
Backups, recovery and sharing
The local app library is excluded from automatic device backups. Keep an exported backup if you want to preserve your full history and later edits. Apple Health recovery can recover supported saved HyTime workouts, but cannot recover every later correction or note. You choose when to export or share files, result graphics or templates and which app or person receives them. Recipients and storage services handle those copies under their own policies.
Advertising and tracking
HyTime has no advertising, tracking SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell workout data or use it for advertising. Apple may provide diagnostics according to your Apple device settings.
Your choices
You can delete results and templates in HyTime, disable plan sync, change Health permissions, and manage separately saved Health workouts and exported files. Uninstalling the app may remove local data. A deletion made on one paired device is sent to the other when connectivity is available.
Support and policy updates
If you choose to contact support, we receive the information you send and use it to respond. Do not include Health exports or sensitive measurements unless needed and you choose to share them. Any material changes to these practices will be reflected in this policy.
